Obituary of Adolph Squires ~ 2009

Adolph Squires, 73, of Merritt, died on Sunday, August 30, 2009, at Two 
Rivers Healthcare Facility Trent Campus in New Bern. Funeral will be held 
at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 3, 2009, at Zion Hill Christian Church with 
the Rev. James Ingram, pastor, officiating. Interment will immediately 
follow the service in the Jones Family Cemetery, Florence community.
He graduated from Pamlico Training School in 1955, was a lifetime member 
of Zion Hill Christian Church and was previously employed for 32 years 
with Hatteras Yachts as a yacht builder.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Bessie Grey Badger Squires of the 
home; one daughter, Janice Faye Squires of Raleigh; three brothers, Elbert 
Squires of Florence, John "Bruce" Squires of Bayboro and William Squires 
Jr. of New Bern.
Viewing will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2009, at 
Rivers-Morgan Funeral Home, Inc., 701 West St., New Bern and on Thursday 
at the church one hour prior to the service.
The family will be receiving friends at 26 Fisher Road, Merritt.
