MERRITT - Alexander John Sos, 76, of Merritt, died Friday, Nov. 27, 2009, 
at Carolina East Medical Center.  
He was a member of Pamlico United Methodist Church.   
He is survived by his wife, Eloise H. Sos of Merritt; one son, Michael 
John Sos of Merritt; one daughter, Carol Ann Jowders of Merritt; two 
brothers, Robert Sos of Alpine, Calif., and Richard Sos of Yuma, Ariz.; 
three sisters, Esther Rohan of Oceanside, N.Y., Mary Hackl of Asheville,
and Elizabeth Suri of Baldwin, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and one great-
grandchild.   
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bryant Funeral Home 
Chapel with the Rev. Owen Peele officiating. The burial will be in Bethel 
Free Will Baptist Church cemetery.   
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the 
funeral home.
