NEW BERN - Alfred Fredrick "Butch/Bush" Saunders, 67, of 3008 Westminster 
Drive, Apt. H, died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011, at his residence.  
He was a native of the Broad Creek Community of Oriental and was a member 
of the 1962 Class of Pamlico Central School. 
He was formerly employed with Garland Fulcher Seafood and Muse Seafood.  
His funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21, 2011, at Broad Creek 
United Church of Christ with the Rev. Siechieh Redd officiating. The 
interment will follow in the Broad Creek Church Cemetery.  
He is survived by his mother, Icelina Saunders of Oriental; one daughter, 
Malissa S. Nelson of Raleigh; one stepson, Leon Green of Raleigh; one 
brother, Calvin Saunders of Oriental; and one sister, Janis Hamilton of 
New Bern; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.  
The family will receive friends at the residence. Viewing will be from 
9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, at Oscar's Mortuary and at the church one 
hour prior to the service.
