Alice Pearl “A.P.” Kornegay White, 87, of 811 Cedar St., New Bern, died 
Saturday, Aug. 5, 2006, at Craven Regional Medical Center.  
“She was a native of Oriental and lived in New Bern for more than 60 years.
She was a homemaker and caregiver, and was formerly a member of Guildfield 
Missionary Baptist Church.  
Funeral will be noon Tuesday at West Street Christian Church with the 
Revs. R.E. Midgette and Faye Clark officiating.  
Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.  
She is survived by one son, Linwood White of Brooklyn, N.Y.; one daughter, 
Millie W. Lancaster of the home; one stepdaughter, Leatrice Davis of 
Oriental; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-
grandchildren.  The family will receive friends at the residence.  
Viewing will be from 1 to 6 p.m. today at Oscar’s Mortuary, New Bern, and 
one hour before the service at the church.
