MERRITT - Alphonse "Buck" Pigeon, 87, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2005 
at his home to be reunited with his beloved wife of 57 years, Nellie 
Silverthorne Pigeon.  
He leaves his children: son, James and wife, Carol, of Centereach, NY; 
daughter, Betty Mason of Leland, NC; son, Joe of Merritt; son, Thomas and 
wife, Alma, of San Diego, CA; and daughter, Mary, of Merritt. He is the 
grandfather of Michael and Mark Mason, Suzanne Saccone, Nicole Purnell, 
Jessica Pigeon, Andria Tallman, Tommy and Eric Pigeon. He also leaves six 
great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He also leaves his 
dear sister, Angela Schunk and sisters-in-law, Irene Parrish, Millie Barto 
and Marge Pidgeon.   
A funeral service has been scheduled for 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 19, 
2005 at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Ratcliff officiating. 
Burial is to follow in Trent Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.  
The family received friends at Bryant Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 8:00 
pm on Monday, April 13.
