CANDOR - Anne Estelle Mallison Tomlinson, 92, died Monday, May 20, 2002, at
Penick Village in Southern Pines.  
The funeral will be held 3 p.m. Friday at Candor Presbyterian Church with 
Rev. Edsel Huffstetler officiating. Burial will be in Candor Cemetery.
A native of Pamlico County, Mrs. Tomlinson was born October 17, 1909, the 
daughter of the late John Thomas and Susan McCotter Mallison. She was a 
graduate of East Carolina College and received her Masters Degree in 
Education from UNC-G. She was an elementary school teacher for 40 years. 
She was a member of Candor Presbyterian Church. 
She was predeceased by her husband, James Robert Tomlinson in 1972.
Survivors are sons, J.R. Tomlinson, Jr. of Candor and Garrett Tomlinson of 
Greensboro; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Briggs 
Candor Funeral Home in Candor.
