BAYBORO - Anthony "Spunk" Maurice Watson, 35, 4934 NC Highway 304 in 
Bayboro died Monday, January 16 at Craven Regional Medical Center. 
A funeral service was held Saturday, January 21, 2 pm, at Antioch United 
Church of Christ in the community of Maribel with the Rev. James Heath, 
pastor, officiating.  
He was a member of Antioch United Church of Christ, a Pamlico County High 
School graduate and was honorably discharged from the US Army.  
He is survived by his son, Anterio Best of Bayboro; his mother, Mildred 
Watson Jarvis of Bayboro; his father, Billy Gibbs of Bayboro; stepfather, 
Curtis Jarvis of Bayboro; one brother, Adrian Green of Bayboro; maternal 
grandmother, Inez Watson and paternal grandmother, Rosetta Gibbs, both of 
the Maribel community.
