Obituary of Barbara M Cooley ~ 2005

MERRITT - Barbara M. Cooley, age 62, of Merritt, cherished wife, mother, 
grandmother and friend, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Sunday, 
April 17th.  
She was a member of Oriental United Methodist Church and retired secretary 
of Fred A. Anderson School. She loved being with her family and friends 
and adored being with her grandchildren. She enjoyed reading and watching 
baseball and college basketball.  
Barbara was the dear and loving wife of Harold Cooley for almost 44 years. 
She was the beloved mother of Sherri Reynolds and husband, Steve, of 
Davidson and Mike and wife, Michelle, of Merritt. She will be lovingly 
remembered by her four grandchildren, Sheena, Caitlin, Alexis and Matthew 
and her mother-in-law, Christine Hux. She is also survived by one brother, 
Paul Wayne Moore of Peoria, Illinois and one sister, Katherine Moore 
Billups of Rocky Mount.   She was preceded in death by her parents, Frances
and A.P. Moore.  
A special thanks to Alice and Calvin Cooley for their special kindness and 
never failing support and to other close family and dear friends for their 
thoughts and prayers during these last three months.
A service to celebrate her life is planned for 7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 
19 at Bryant Funeral Home. Her love and strength will live on in us.
