Obituary of Barney B Harrell Jr ~ 2005

ARAPAHOE - Barney B. Harrell, Jr., 65, died Tuesday, November 15 at Craven 
Regional Medical Center. 
He was a member of Bethany Christian Church and was employed by NC Farm 
Bureau Insurance Co. for 42 years. 
He was an honor agent for the state in 1967, and won Million Round Table 
numerous times. 
He was an avid coon hunter, and was a member of Rainbow Masonic Lodge #479 
in Arapahoe.  Barney had many good friends across the state and enjoyed 
and cherished them.  
A funeral service was held Thursday, November 17 at 11:00 am at Bethany 
Christian Church with the Rev. Gary Edge officiating. Burial was in Paul 
Cemetery.  
The family received friends at Bryant Funeral Home from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm 
on Wednesday, November 16.  
He is survived by his wife, Margaret G. Harrell; one son, Blake Harrell of 
Jacksonville, FL; daughter-in-law, Christina R. Harrell of Arapahoe; 
sister, Ann Webb, of Buxton; two grandsons who were his pride and joy, 
Samuel Allen Harrell and Nicholas James Harrell.  
He was preceded in death by his son, Barney B. Harrell, III on October 22, 
2005; his mother and father, Marjorie and Barney Harrell; and a brother, 
John A. Harrell of Wilson.
