COVE CITY - Bernard Keith Greene Sr., 59, died Sunday, May 15, 2011.
He was a native of Pamlico County and a member of St. Mary's M. B. Church 
of Cove City serving as a deacon. He was formerly employed with the N. C. 
Department of Transportation as a machinist.
His memorial service will be 11 a.m. at Oscar's Memorial Chapel with the 
Rev. James Williams, Officiant. 
He is survived by his wife, Phylis Johnson Greene of the home; three sons, 
Bernard K. Greene Jr. of Holly Springs, Deterict Greene of O'Fallon, Ill., 
and Michael Jermaine Greene of New Bern; two daughters, Taneshia Greene of 
Newport News, Va. and Ashley Bianca Britton of New Bern; one brother, 
Herbert "Randy" Green of Philadelphia, Pa.; adopted children, Russel Brock 
and Quawanaa Gardner of New Bern; and a host of grandchildren.
