Obituary of Bernice Johnson Armond ~ 2011

VANDEMERE - Bernice Johnson Armond, 92, of 685 Pennsylvania Ave., Vandemere, 
died Friday, Sept. 30 at the Two Rivers Healthcare Facility in New Bern.  
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at noon in the 
Antioch United Church of Christ with the Rev. Genard Sawyer, pastor, 
officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service in Hudnell 
Cemetery.  She was a lifetime member of Antioch United Church of Christ 
serving as a choir member, musician of the church for over thirty years. 
She was an active member of the Countywide Mission Circle.  
She is survived by: five sons, Walter H. Armond of Cheraw, S.C., Edward L. 
Armond of the home, Stanley Armond of New Bern and Charles C. Armond of 
Charlotte; three daughters, Jennie L. Armond of Brooklyn, N.Y., Janice D. 
Squires of Bayboro and Beulah L. Armond of Greensboro; 24 grandchildren; 
23 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.  
The family will receive guests at 658 Pennsylvania Ave. in Vandemere and 
at 1471 Chinchilla Drive, Bayboro.  Viewing will be held on Wednesday at 
the church one hour prior to the service.  
Arrangements are by Rivers-Morgan Funeral Home, Inc., New Bern.
