Mrs. Bernice Fisher James of 1414 Dans Road, died Tuesday, July 6, 1999, 
at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.  
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 10, 1999, at Providence 
Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park.  
Mrs. James was a native of Pamlico County. She was a retired teacher from 
the Burlington City Public School System. 
Survivors are her son, Andre James of Greensboro; daughters, Ms. Patti 
LeVerne James of Greensboro, Mrs. Linda James Owens (Douglas) of 
Chantilly, Va., Mrs. Billie James Branscomb of Washington, DC; one 
brother, Odyses Fisher of El Paso, Texas; four sisters, Mrs. Arrimenta F. 
Estes of Raleigh, Mrs. Aileen F. Blount of Grantsboro, Mrs. Gloria F. 
Davis of Andrews, SC, Mrs. Margaret F. Wright of Woodbridge, Va.; three 
grandsons, Alexander Owens, Devin Owens, both of Chantilly, Va., Roderick 
Jessupof Greensboro; one granddaughter, Ruby Branscomb of Washington, DC.  
The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, at the 
church.  
Arrangements are entrusted to Hargett Funeral Service.
