Obituary of Betsy Green Carmen ~ 2008

ORIENTAL - Betsy Green "Tut" Carmen, 63, of 1472 Pamlico Road died Thursday, 
Nov. 6, 2008, at Craven Regional Medical Center.  
She was a graduate of the Pamlico County school system and was employed in 
the seafood industry. As a member of Galilee Christian Church, she 
participated in the Bible Study Group and was a community member of the 
Feed My Sheep Club. 
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, at the New Bern 
Missionary Baptist Association Headquarters, 855 Hwy 306 in Grantsboro, 
with the Rev. Leroy Dukes officiating. Burial will be in the Hall Cemetery.
She is survived by her son, Herbert Leon Green of Raleigh; her daughter, 
Malissa Saunders Nelson of Raleigh; two brothers, Bernard Greene of New 
Bern and Herbert Green of Philadelphia, Penn.; six grandchildren; and 
seven great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, at Oscars' Mortuary and 
at the Tabernacle one hour prior to the service.  
The family will receive friends at the residence.
