VANDEMERE - Blanche Griggs, 75, died Sunday, September 4 at Craven 
Regional Medical Center. 
A funeral service has been scheduled for Wednesday, September 7 at 11 am 
at Bryant Funeral Home with burial in Celestial Memorial Gardens in 
Vandemere. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 am 
to 11 am on Wednesday, just prior to the funeral service.  
She is survived by her husband, Charles Griggs, Sr.; four sons, Carroll 
Voliva of Vandemere, Steve Voliva of Mesic, Tony Curtis Voliva and Charles 
Griggs, Jr., both of the home; three daughters, Barbara Morris of New Bern,
Angela Jenkins of Hobucken and Sherry Jones of Vandemere; three brothers, 
Gene Pegram of Grantsboro, Russell Pegram of Maribel and Elmo Pegram of 
Arapahoe; one sister, Edith Woolard of Washington, NC; 16 grandchildren; 
17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
