Ex-teacher dies at 105 in Boydton - Mrs. Brownie Lambertson Daniels of 
Boydton, a retired teacher, died yesterday after a brief illness.
She was 105.
Mrs. Daniels was born in Rich Square, N.C. She was a 1906 graduate of the 
University of North Carolina. She began her teaching career shortly 
thereafter, teaching elementary school in Pamlico, N.C.
She and her late husband, Virgil C. Daniels, a lawyer, moved to Boydton in 
1912. She taught in the Mecklenburg County schools for about three years.
Mrs. Daniels was active in the Boydton Baptist and Boydton Methodist 
churches, serving in each church's women's missionary society.
She is survived by three sons, William Lambertson Daniels of Boydton; Dr. 
Virgil Clayton Daniels Jr. of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and Harry Douglas 
Daniels of Raleigh, N.C.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cedar Lawn Cemetery 
in Rich Square.

will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. in Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Rich Square, N.C.
Mrs. Daniels died yesterday in a South Hill nursing home after a brief 
illness. She was 105.
A native of Rich Square, N.C., she graduated in 1906 from the University 
of North Carolina. She began teaching elementary school in Pamlico, N.C., 
shortly after her college graduation.
She and her husband moved to Boydton in 1912.
Mrs. Daniels taught in the Mecklenburg schools for about three years.
She had been a member first of Boydton Baptist and then of Boydton United 
Methodist churches. She served in the women's missionary society at each 
church.
She was the widow of Virgil C. Daniels, a lawyer who died in 1964.
Survivors include three sons, William L. Daniels of Boydton, Virgil C. 
Daniels Jr. of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Harry D. Daniels of Raleigh, N.C.; 
four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
