ORIENTAL - Byard P. Bridge, Sr., 81, of Oriental N.C., died at Courtyard's 
of New Bern Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010.
He owned and operated The Harry P. Bridge Co., an industrial advertising 
agency in Philadelphia, Pa. He was also an avid sailor, loving husband, 
father, and granddad. His passions were his family, country and church. He 
is a member of Oriental United Methodist Church, where he played the organ 
for the early service.
He is survived by his wife Laura (Dixie) Bridge of Oriental N.C., one son, 
Byard P. Bridge Jr. and wife Kerry of Scotch Plains N.J.; one daughter, 
Lisa Bridge LaScala and husband John of Watchung N.J.; grandchildren Byard 
P. Bridge III, Ryan J. Bridge, Abigail C. Bridge, Samantha N. LaScala, and 
Joseph M. LaScala. 
Memorial services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010, 
at Oriental United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Keith Sexton.
