Obituary of Calvin "Buddy" Ballance ~ 2004

Calvin "Buddy" Ballance, 59, of the 4000 block of Tanglewood Trail, passed 
away at his home Aug. 10, 2004. He was born in Lowland, N.C. and preceded 
in death by his father, Dave Ballance; his mother, Velma Midyette Gibson; 
and a brother, Larry Ballance.  
He leaves behind his loving wife, Eileen Ballance; loyal companion, 
"Binky;" five daughters, Michelle Jeffries, Candice Ballance, Chrissy Reed,
Kimberly Hawkins and Becky Artley; three sons, Glenn Jones, Preston Hawkins
and Charles Bancroft; a stepfather, Kenneth Gibson; three sisters, Gloria 
Nanney and husband Joe and Patsy Leary, all of Chesapeake, and Janice 
Ireland of Aurora, N.C.; and eight grandchildren. 
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the residence with 
the Rev. Jasper Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends at the 
home. A special thanks to Warren Furlough and Southland T.V. and staff 
whom he loved.  
The Cremation Society of Virginia, Virginia Beach, is in charge of arrangements.
