Carl Hagan, 74, of Bayboro died Friday, Feb. 13, 2009, at Pitt County 
Memorial Hospital, Greenville.  
He was a member of Arapahoe Free Will Baptist Church and was a former 
member of the Moose Lodge. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean 
War.  Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at New Bern M
emorial Cemetery with the Rev. Dwayne Boyd officiating and military honors 
by the Pamlico County Veterans Honor Guard.  
He is survived by his wife, Frances H. Hagan; one son, Clay Ernst of 
Reelsboro; one daughter, Toni Westover of Bridgeton; two brothers, Charles 
A. Hagan of Vanceboro and Robert A. Hagan of Cove City; three sisters, 
Mary Jones of New Bern, Ethel Ford of Wilmington and Joyce Harris of 
Aurora; and six grandchildren.  
The family will receive friends at the home of Vicki Davis, 4804 Woodbrook 
Drive in the Deerfield community off Hwy. 17, starting at 7 p.m. Tuesday 
and after the graveside service on Wednesday.
