AURORA – Carmen Allen Potter, 61, of 362 Potter Road in Aurora died 
Wednesday, April 7. 
A funeral service was held Saturday, April 10, 2 pm, at Edward Christian 
Church with burial in the High Hill-Aurora Cemetery.  
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Potter; her mother, Kathleen Brantley
Allen; three sons, Bryan B. Midyette, Charles Allen Midyette and Arthur 
Overton, all of Aurora; one step-daughter, Kristen Anne Potter of the home;
one step-son, James Todd Potter of Blounts Creek; two sisters, Ronda Allen 
Lewis of Hobucken and Karen Allen Garrison of Goldsboro; one brother, 
David Earl Allen, Jr. of chapel Hill; eight grandchildren; two nieces and 
two nephews.
