MESIC - Carrie Mae Credle, 90, of 8954 N.C. 304, died Wednesday, May 23,
2007, at her residence.
A native of Mesic, she was a member of Mt. Olive M.B. Church, where she
formerly served as a mother of the church, senior choir member, chairwoman
of the Missionary Circle and food service department. She was employed for
many years as a nutrition planner with Senior Services.
Funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Mt. Olive M.B. Church with the Rev. C.A.
Felton Jr., officiating.
Burial will be in Mesic Memorial.
She is survived by six sons, Edward Credle, Bryan Credle, and Michael
Credle, all of Bayboro, James Warren Credle of Newark, N.J., Ronnie Credle
of Palmdale, Calif., and Frankie Credle of Cape May, N.J.; three daughters,
Marjorie Covie of East Orange, N.J., Lorraine Dixon of Newport News, Va.,
and Connie Credle of Winston-Salem; one sister, Cynthia Robinson of New
Bern; 41 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and five
great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the residence.
Viewing will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Oscar’s Mortuary, New Bern,
and one hour prior to the service Sunday at the church.
