Cashwell Beverly "Cash" Caroon, 77 of Southport, died Tuesday, July 28, 
2009.  
He was born in Oriental on August 6, 1931 to the late Elmo and Beatrice 
Edwards Caroon. 
He is survived by his wife, Irma Ross Caroon; four sons; 12 grandchildren 
and 9 great-grandchildren.  
He was preceded in death by a son, Howard Ross Caroon, and brothers S.E.
Caroon and Darrel Lee Caroon.  
He was a member of Southport Baptist Church where a celebration of his 
life was held with the Revs. Foyd Bennett and P.D. Midgett officiating.  
Burial followed inn Northwood Cemetery.
