Catherine Daniels Connor, 80, died Sunday, September 7, 2008, in Raleigh.  
The funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 10, 
at Oriental United Methodist Church, with the Reverend Walter Graves 
officiating. Interment will be in the Oriental Cemetery. The family will 
receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.  
Catherine Connor was born on October 13, 1927, in Lakeview, N.C., and 
spent most of her childhood in Oriental, N.C. She and her husband returned 
to Oriental in 1982 after a career in the Coast Guard and lived there 
until they moved to Raleigh in 2004.  
Mrs. Connor was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Connor, her 
brother Clifton Daniels Jr., and her son James Robert (Bob) Connor.  
She is survived by a son, Michael Connor of Kernersville; a daughter, 
Connie Connor of Raleigh; two brothers, Richard Daniels of Morehead City 
and James (Jimmy) Daniels of Virginia Beach, Va.; and a stepsister, 
Shirley Daniels of Newport News, Va.  Arrangements by Bryant Funeral Home
