Obituary of Catherine Magnolia Greene Squires ~ 2007

BAYBORO - Catherine Magnolia Greene Squires, 88, of 464 Lynch’s Beach Loop 
Road, died Monday, April 30, 2007, at Craven Regional Medical Center.  
A native of the Maribel community, she was a member of Antioch United 
Church of Christ and served as an usher.  
Funeral will be noon Saturday at Antioch United Church of Christ with the 
Rev. James Heath officiating.  
Burial will be in Hudnell Cemetery, Bayboro.  
She is survived by four sons, James K. Green of Grifton, Willie Lee Greene 
of Brooklyn, N.Y., Carlton Squires of Bayboro, and Willie Gray Squires of 
Providence, R.I.; one daughter, Glenda Greene of Bayboro; one brother, 
Marion B. Greene Jr., of Wyandanch, N.Y.; two sisters, Gladys Greene of 
Bayboro, and Agnes Credle of Greenlawn, N.Y.; 15 grandchildren; and 21 
great-grandchildren.  
The family will receive friends at the residence.  
Viewing will be 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at Oscar’s Mortuary, New Bern, 
and one hour prior to the service at the church.
