HOBUCKEN - Cecil Sherwood Sadler, 81, of Hobucken died Wednesday, July 2 
at Craven Regional Medical Center.  
Graveside service was held Friday, July 4, 3:00 p.m. at the Barnett 
Cemetery with Murray Sadler officiating.  
He is survived by his wife, Irene Sadler; son, Robert Sadler of Alabama; 
six daughters, Jacqueline Buck of Grantsboro, Janice Demere of Everglades, 
FL, Wilma Peabody of Carrollton, VA, Carol Voliva Whitfield, Karen 
Williams O'Neal and Stella Peabody, of Hobucken; three sisters, Roma Sands 
of San Antonio, TX, Elsie Hokum and Louise Dillard, both of New Bern; one 
brother, Fulcher Sadler of Wilmington; 23 grandchildren; and 35 great-
grandchildren.
