GRANTSBORO - Charles L. Duvall, 43, died Thursday, August 18 at his home. 
A funeral service was held Sunday, August 21, 2 pm, at Bryant Funeral Home 
chapel with the Rev. David Harris and the Rev. Jeff Harris officiating. 
Burial was in Paul Cemetery in Silverhill.
He was a maintenance worker with the NC Department of Transportation, 
member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church, Grantsboro/Silverhill Volunteer 
fire Department and had served in the National Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Alisa H. Duval; father, Charles M. Duval, Jr. 
of Pollocksville; two brothers, Roger Duval of Garner and Steven Duval of 
Fuquay-Varina; and two sisters, Dawn Penley of New Bern and Terri Love of 
Elks Grove, CA.
