Charlotte Robinson Jennette, 91, of 6965 Turnpike Road, The Rose Bay 
Community, Swan Quarter, died at her home on Friday, July 23, 2010.  
Born in Hobucken in Pamlico County, May 1, 1919, she was the daughter of 
the late Joseph and Lula Pollard Robinson.  
She was married to Garland W. "Ting" Jennette who preceded her in death 
in 2002.  She graduated from Hobucken School, later graduated from 
Montreat College in Montreat, N. C., joined the U. S. Navy and served in 
WAVES until the end of World War II, then entered Appalachian College and 
later attended East Carolina in Greenville.  
After her education endeavors she did work in the field of nutrition 
within the seafood industry.  She was an active community servant exerting 
efforts in behalf of the Rose Bay Community Building; faithful to her 
faith and in the Providence Church which later merged with the 
congregation of Soule United Methodist Church where she continued to be 
active in United Methodist Women; served on the Community Advisory Board 
of Cross Creek Health Care Center and was active in Hyde Chapter 213, 
Eastern Star.  
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the family plot in 
Pamlico Memorial Gardens in Washington.  
Pastor Jerald Craddock and Steve Bryan will officiate.  
Surviving are a daughter, Nancy J. Reid and her husband, Russell of the 
home; a brother, Bert Robinson and wife, Frances of Hobucken.  
She was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.  
The family will receive friends at Bryan Funeral Service on Sunday, 6 p.m. 
to 8 p.m and other times at the home.
