Obituary of Colon Ireland ~ 2009

Colon Ireland, 87, of New Bern, died Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009, at 
CarolinaEast Medical Center.
He was predeceased by his wife, Ruby, of 66 years.
He is survived by his daughters, Robin Deal and husband, Buddy, of Apex, 
and Joyce Corrieri and husband, Bill, of Goldsboro; four grandchildren; 
five great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today at South Creek Baptist 
Church, with the Rev. Merritt Watson, nephew, officiating. Burial will 
follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at 
the church.
Arrangements are by Bryant Funeral Home & Cremations, Alliance.
