Obituary of Connie Lorraine Greene Jennette ~ 2008

Connie Lorraine Greene Jennette, 65, of Mesic died Wednesday, May 21, 2008,
at Craven Regional Medical Center.  
She retired from the Marriot hotel chain in Boston after 20 years of 
service and returned to her native Pamlico County. She was a 1960 graduate 
of Pamlico County Training School and is a member of Pierce Chapel AME 
Zion Church.  
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, May 26, 2008, at Pierce 
Chapel AME Zion Church, Hudson Street, Oriental, with the Rev. James 
Cannon Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery.  
She is survived by her husband, Langston Jennette of the home; her mother, 
Madeline Greene of Oriental; three daughters, Gretchen Jennette, Ondreia 
J. Lewis, and Lynnette Jennette, all of Boston; three brothers, Richard R. 
Greene of Boston, Zelnor Bryant of Oriental and Reginald Gibbs of Hamden, 
Conn.; one sister, Margaret Sutton-Gomes of Baltimore; and eight 
grandchildren.  
The family will receive friends at the residence of her mother, Madeline 
Greene, 1429 Broad St., Oriental.  
Viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at Oscar's Mortuary and an 
hour prior to the service Monday at the church.
