Cora Lee Pearson Skinner, 63, of the 200 block of Bedford Court, died 
March 8, 1998, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, Norfolk.  
Born in Bayboro, N.C., she was a self-employed private duty nurse retiring 
after 25 years of service. She was a past member of Holy Light Church of 
Deliverance, Portsmouth, and a former minister of Holy Light Church of 
Deliverance.  
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, William Skinner Sr.; two 
daughters, Belinda Skinner of Portsmouth, Alethea Skinner Jones of 
Norfolk; two sons, William M. Skinner Jr. and Arnold Skinner, both of 
Portsmouth; three sisters, Mary Jackson of Pahokee, Fla., Janice Perry 
of Chesapeake, Marjorie Devone of Queens, N.Y.; two brothers, Carl 
Pearson, David Pearson, both of Portsmouth; a stepbrother, Andrew King Sr. 
of Portsmouth; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a god-child, 
Bobby Ray Cooper Jr. of Portsmouth; a daughter-in-law, Juanita Skinner of 
Portsmouth; an aunt, Nannie Bee Squires of Bayboro, N.C.; a host of nieces,
nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. 
She was predeceased by her parents, Rosetta Lewis Pearson and the Rev. C.C.
Pearson.  
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in New First Baptist Church 
Taylorsville, Portsmouth, by the Rev. T.M. Steele. Burial will be in 
Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. 
Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at noon today. 
The family will be at the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m. today. 
The family will be at her residence and at 1081 Clements Ave., Norfolk. 
Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 12:15 p.m. 
Thursday for the procession to the church.
