BAYBORO - Deborah Ann Sawyer, 50, of 198 Alfred Road, Maribel community, 
Bayboro, died on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2009, at her residence.
She was a graduate of Pamlico County High School and was formerly employed 
at Williams Day Care. She was a lifetime member of Antioch United Church 
of Christ Church.
She is survived by her son, Keon Moore of the home; two sisters, Margaret 
S. Canady of New Bern and Linda Sawyer of Bayboro; five brothers, Hubert 
Sawyer of Reelsboro, David Sawyer of Stonewall, Roger Sawyer of New Bern, 
Kenneth Sawyer of Newport News, Va., and Lonnie Gibbs Jr. of Reelsboro.
Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, at Antioch 
United Church of Christ Church with the Rev. Genard Sawyer officiating. 
The burial will be in the Sawyer-Curtis Cemetery of the Maribel community.
The family will receive friends at the residence. The viewing will be at 
the church on Tuesday an hour prior to the service.
