ELIZABETH CITY - Delia Hopkins Houtz, age 96, of Riverwind I, Apartment 105 
on Carolina Avenue in Elizabeth City died Friday, October 21 at her residence.  
A native of Pamlico County, she was a member of Christ Episcopal Church,
 church woman's auxiliary, NC Museum Association, Elizabeth City Lioness 
Auxiliary and former member of the Woman's Club and Garden Club.  
She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Houtz Harris of Elizabeth City; one 
son, Howard Kennedy Houtz, Jr.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; 
one sister, Georgia Delamar of Charleston, SC.  
A memorial service was held Sunday, October 23 at 3 pm at Christ Episcopal 
Church with the Rev. Fredricka Steenstra officiating. A graveside service 
followed in Old Hollywood Cemetery.
