Obituary of Donald R. Kraus ~ 2012

ORIENTAL - Donald R. Kraus, 82, died Sunday, February 5, 2012, at home.
Don served in the Air Force and retired from British Petroleum, Cleveland, 
Ohio, as a field engineer. As a member of the Oriental United Methodist 
Church, he served as church trustee and on various pastoral committees. 
He was previously affiliated with Rotary Club of Oriental, Coast Guard 
Auxiliary, Sailing Club of Oriental, Pamlico Investment Club and Monk 
Association.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen Garrett Kraus; sons, Donald of Corvallis,
Ore., and Bruce of Fishers, Ind.; daughter, Adele Hall of Lewis Center, 
Ohio; stepsons, Daniel Berger of Valdosta, Ga., Michael Berger and 
Benjamin Berger, both of Westerville, Ohio; four grandchildren; and two 
great-grandsons.
Service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 9, at Oriental United 
Methodist Church. Private burial services will be held in Oriental and 
Cleveland, Ohio.
The family will receive friends in the church's fellowship hall after 
service.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that contributions be sent to 
Hospice of Pamlico County, PO Box 959, Bayboro, NC 28515.
