Doris Midyette Lupton: April 9, 1932 - Sept. 13, 2004.  
A memorial service for Doris Midyette Lupton, 73, of North Bend, will be 
held at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 16, at Hamilton Apartments Activity 
Center, 1700 Hamilton St., North Bend.  
She was born April 9, 1932, at home to Samuel Cleveland Midyette and Mamie 
Lavinia (Barnett) Midyette, in Pamlico County, N.C. She died of age-related
causes on Sept. 13, 2004, in North Bend.  
She moved to North Bend to be closer to her son, Harold Midyette. She was 
very proud of her son for graduating from college and for his other 
accomplishments in life. She was a caregiver, but in her later life, she 
devoted her time to her grandchildren, Emily and Nathan Midyette. She 
loved her grandbabies tremendously. She had the greatest expectations for 
them and their lives. They were her joy.  
She is survived by her son, Harold G. Midyette of North Bend; 
granddaughter, Emily C. Midyette of North Bend; grandson, Nathan G. 
Midyette of North Bend; and brothers, Weddell Midyette and Randolph 
Midyette, both of North Carolina.  
She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Donald Midyette, 
Edith Dietz, Iola Midyette, Roland Midyette, Virgel Midyette and Mamie 
Price, all of North Carolina.  
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Lighthouse School, 93670 
Viking Way, North Bend, OR 97459.  
Arrangements are under the direction of North Bend Chapel, 756-0440.
