BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Doris Elizabeth Manuel, 57, formerly of Oriental, died 
Friday, March 9, 2007, at her residence.  
She received her formal education in the Pamlico County School System, 
graduating from Pamlico County High School in 1967. She was a faithful 
member of St. Stephen M.B. Church during her youth. 
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Stephen M.B. Church, Oriental with 
the Revs. Serious G. Willis Sr. and Angelo S. Dawson officiating.  
Burial will be in the church cemetery.  
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Manuel, of the home; two daughters, 
Toni Manuel-Moore of Owings Mill, Md., and Tiffany Mighty of Saylorsburg, 
Pa.; mother, Annie Pear Styron of Oriental; one brother, James B. Styron 
of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and seven grandchildren.  
The family will receive friends at the residence of her mother, 467 
Styrontown Beach Road, Oriental.  
Viewing will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at Rivers-Morgan Funeral Home 
and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
