Dorothy Allen McFadyen of 405 Madame Moores Lane, died Saturday, May 15, 
at Craven Regional Medical Center.  
She was a native of Florence, NC Community in Pamlico County. 
The daughter of the late John and Eva Allen. Mrs. McFadyen was a veteran 
of the Women's Army Corp in WWII stationed in Italy. A retired civil 
service worker at NADEP, Cherry Pt. and past volunteer gray lady at CRMC, 
Meals on Wheels, & Salva- tion Army. Member of the Neuse Forest Garden 
Club, New Bern Babe Ruth Ladies Aux., and Past Worthy Matron Eastern 
Star/Gratham chapter. And a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church.  
Funeral services will be held at Tabernacle Baptist Church on Monday, 
May 17th at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Jack Hinton officiating. Interment will 
be at Greenleaf Memorial Park.  
Her greatest Joy in life was the family she leaves behind: loving husband, 
William David McFadyen, Sr.; two sons, Artie McFadyen of New Bern, W. 
David McFadyen, Jr.  of New Bern and one daughter, Tina Lee Caruso of 
Wilmington, NC, one brother, Owen N. Allen, Sr., of New Bern, one sister, 
Kitty Casey of Stonewall, four very special grand- children, Guion Lee, 
III, Jason Lee, Michelle McFadyen, David McFad- yen, III and several 
nieces and nephews.  
Visitation, today, 7-8:30 p.m. at Cotten Funeral Home and other times at 
608 Madame Moores Lane.  
Flowers will be appreciated or do- nations made on her behalf to, the 
American Cancer Society, Craven Co. Unit, Memorial Chairman, P.O. Box 
12805, New Bern, 28561 or Tabernacle Baptist Church Fund, P.O. Box 1510, 
New Bern, NC 28560.
