NEW BERN – Douglas Robert Gregory, Sr., 78, of New Bern, who was raised in 
Pamlico County, died Monday, March 22 at Craven Regional Medical Center. 
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 27, 2 pm, at Pollock-Best 
Funeral Home with the Rev. James Hayes officiating.  
He was a member of Riverdale United Methodist Church and was a Mason.  
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Hopkins Gregory of the home; one son, 
Douglas Gregory, Jr. of Key West, FL; one daughter, Jan Gregory Moore of 
Raleigh; two step grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews.
