ARAPAHOE - Douglas Eugene Lee, 62, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008, at Craven 
Regional Medical Center.  
He worked as a truck driver and was a member of New Life Praise and 
Worship Ministries in Grantsboro.  
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at New Life Praise and Worship 
Ministries with the Rev. Blaney Rowe officiating. Burial will be in Paul 
Cemetery in Silverhill.  
Surviving are his wife, Bettie Pegram Lee; three daughters, Anita L. 
Pipkin and husband, Phillip Pipkin Sr., of Reelsboro, Estelle L. Sawyer of 
Arapahoe and Velma J. Lee and companion, Buddy E. Martin, of Arapahoe; two 
brothers, Elwood M. Lee and Ralph Lee, both of Silverhill; one sister, 
Hilda Bateman of Bridgeton; nine grandchildren, Phillip Pipkin Jr., 
Jennifer Banks, Brandy Williams and husband, Travis, Douglas Sodoma, 
Michael Sawyer Jr., John Sodoma, Charles Phillip Pipkin II, Shannon 
Sawyer, and Phillip Daniel Lee-Pipkin; and nine great-grandchildren, 
Brandon Wade Banks, Britney Banks, Angel Pipkin, Joshua Banks, Carrie 
Gent, Phillip Pipkin III, Madison Williams, Angel Williams and Ryan 
Sawyer.  
The family will receive friends at Bryant Funeral Home 7 to 8:30 p.m. 
Saturday.
