Earl Harris Jr., 61, of Vandemere died Friday, April 4, 2008, at his 
residence.  
He was a native of Choctaw County, Ala., and was a U.S. Army veteran of 
the Vietnam War. He retired as environmental manager at Pascack Valley 
Hospital in Westwood, N.J.   The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, 
April 10, 2008, at St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church, Vandemere, with 
the Rev. F.L. Hyman officiating. Burial with military honors will be in 
the Hudnell Cemetery, Maribel.   
He is survived by his wife, Pearl Driggers Harris of Vandemere; one 
daughter, Nicole Harris of the Bronx, N.Y.; three brothers, Melvin Harris 
and Willard Harris, both of Lisbon, Ala., and Kirby Harris of Bergenfield,
N.J.; four sisters, Shirley Jones of Westwood, N.J., Lena Evans and Joann 
Lewis, both of Kentucky, and Ada Jackson of Virginia.   
The family will receive friends at 9 Griggs Road, Vandemere. Viewing will 
be from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Oscar's Mortuary and an hour prior to 
the service Thursday at the church.
