ORIENTAL - Edith Helen White Stephens, 95, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2007, at 
Two Rivers Campus in New Bern. 
She had been a cook at Pamlico County Schools. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry A. "Jim" Stephens; a 
daughter, LaFoy S. Pickles; and a son, Henry H. Stephens. 
She is survived by four grandchildren, Steve Pickles of Pine Bluff, Ariz., 
Trudy P. Cleere of Bayboro, Henry Stephens of Newark, N.Y. and Doris 
Waddell of Newark, N.Y.; great-grandchildren, Stephanie P. Williams, 
Robby Cleere, Sara Cleere, Rachel Cleere, Merrill Stephens, Cara Stephens, 
Steve Kepner and Misty Neilson; and two great-great-grandchildren, Blake
Neilson and Jolia Neilson. 
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, in the 
Oriental Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Baldwin officiating. 
The family will receive friends at the home of her granddaughter, Trudy 
Cleere, 302 South Street, Bayboro.
