Alliance- In loving memory of wife, mother, grandmother and special friend, 
Edna "GiGi" Wilkinson Ireland, 75, of Alliance died Wednesday, April 29, 1998
at Fuke University Medical Center. She was a long-standing member of the Rock
of Zion FWB Church in Grantsboro.
She is survived by her loving husband, Herman L Ireland of the home, one daughter
Luray L Jones and husband George of Alliance; one son, Limwood "Woody" Ireland 
and wife Glenda of Alliance, six grandchildren, Alton R Whealton Jr, and Suzanne
Dudley of Alliance, Beth W Bynum of Grantsboro, Dail K Wilkinson Jr of Alliance
Tracy I Sanders of Pamlico and Michael S Ireland of Alliance; two stepgrandchildren
Dean Jones of Reelsboro, and Donnie Jones of Greenville; six great grandchildren
Jaron and Japeth Whealton of Alliance, Allen Nobles of Grantsboro, Taylor Underwood
of Pamlico. Gabrielle Whealton of Alliance and William Sanders of Pamlico; one
sister, Ethel Peele of Hobbsville, NC and many close friends and relatives who
loved her very much.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Bryant Funeral Home,
with the Rev T O Terry officiating. Burial will follow in Sandhill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, 7 to 9 p.m. Friday
and other times at the home on Mill Pond Road in Alliance.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rock of Zion
FWB Church of Grantsboro.
