Obituary of Emma Thompson Pugh ~ 2007

Emma Thompson Pugh, 67, of 1210 Colony Drive, New Bern, died Sunday, Sept. 
2, 2007, at Craven Regional Medical Center.  
She attended the New Bern city cchools and was a basketball player. 
She was formerly employed at the Chuck Wagon, Corner Grill and Magnolia 
Place.  
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at West Street Christian Church with 
the Rev. R.E. Midgette Sr. officiating.  
Burial will be in Broad Creek Church Cemetery-Pamlico Community, Oriental. 
She is survived by three sons, Darnell Pugh of Fairfield, Calif., Danny 
Pugh of Reelsboro and Van Pugh of Washington; four daughters, Nina Banks 
of Reelsboro, Angela Williams of Butner, Gisele Beeson of Italy and Ann 
Jackson of Charleston, S.C.; one brother, Benny Thompson Jr. of Dale City,
Va.; and 19 grandchildren.  
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Oscar’s 
Mortuary, New Bern, and other times at the residence of Herbert and Nina 
Banks, 303 Hall Creek Road, Reelsboro.
