BAYBORO - Emmitt Curthburk Rice, Jr., 83, died Monday, October 17, 2011, 
at CarolinaEast Medical Center.  
He is survived by one son, Curtis Rice and wife, Marie, of Lowland; one 
sister, Mary Rice Banks of Merritt; his companion, Anne Sawyer; and 
several nieces and nephews.  
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, October 21, at Rice 
Family Cemetery in Florence with the Rev. Earl Sadler Jr. officiating.  
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m., Thursday, October 20, at 
Bryant Funeral Home.  
Arrangements are by Bryant Funeral Home & Cremations, Alliance.
