Ernest J. Everett Sr., 75, of Cut Thru Road, died Oct. 11, 1999.  
A native of Pamlico County, N.C., he was the son of the late Jess and 
Emma Davis Everett. Mr. Everett was retired from the Virginia Department 
of Corrections in 1986 and was a World War II Army veteran.  
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Doris Everett; daughter, Virginia E. 
Goff of Richmond; sons, Ernest Jess Everett Jr. of Burlington, N.C., 
Robert Allen Everett of Elizabeth City, N.C.; sister, Louise Spruill of 
Plymouth, N.C.; grandchildren, Everett and David Darden, Paula Morris; 
three great-grandchildren, Heather, Matthew and Madison.  
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral 
Home by the Rev. Alvin M. Moore with burial in Holly Lawn Cemetery. 
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral 
home.  Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 
404 8th St. N.E., Suite C, Charlottesville, VA 22902.
