Obituary of Ernest Phillip Keel Sr ~ 2008

Ernest Phillip Keel Sr., 80, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, 
July 24, 2008, at Indian Path Hospital in Kingsport, Tenn. 
He was born on November 22, 1927, in Alliance to the late Ernest and Leona 
Hunnings Keel.  
He was a foreman with Flour Daniels Construction in Carrollton, Ga., until 
he retired after 30 years of service. He loved doing woodwork and spent 
many hours in his workshop building crafts with deep pride.  
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and two brothers.  
He is survived by his wife, Jean Caho Keel of Kingsport, Tenn.; two 
daughters, Olivia Mae Stevens and husband, James, and Barbara Jean Ballard 
and husband, Danny, both of Kingsport; one son, Bruce Earl Keel of Hudson, 
Fla.; three sisters, Iris Dixon of Grantsboro, Frances Wilkinson of Hubert 
and June Teal of Bayboro; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 
two great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-
grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.  
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 28, at Bryant Funeral
Home Chapel with the Rev. Jack Bowen officiating. Interment will follow 
immediately in Sandhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday
from 4 to 6 p.m. at Bryant Funeral Home.
