Obituary of Ernest Dan Williams ~ 2010

Ernest Dan Williams, 83, of Hamilton, Ohio, and Alliance, entered into his 
heavenly home on Thursday, September 9, 2010.  
He was born in Riverdale, North Carolina, on August 21, 1927, the son of 
Emmett and Marjorie Williams.  
Ernest was a truck driver for over 45 years. He began driving a truck when 
he was 16 years old, hauling logs in Eastern North Carolina. He later 
delivered steel and building supplies throughout the U.S., contributing to 
the prosperity and growth of our great nation.  
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepbrother, Glenwood Dixon; 
brother, Emmett Jr.; sisters, Marion Holbrook and Helen Brinson; and 
stepson, David C. Dooley.  
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Wilma; his stepdaughter and her 
husband, Linda and Charles Holbrook of Longmont, Colo.; grandson, David 
Isaac Dooley, of Daleville, Alabama; granddaughter, Elisa Beeson and her 
husband Shane, and great granddaughter, Eisley of Longmont, Colo.; his 
sister, Betty and her husband, Rev. Lee Toler, of Alliance, and numerous 
nieces and nephews and loving friends, especially Sam Meals and Roy Buck.  
The family sincerely appreciates the kindness and devoted, respectful care 
provided by his Hospice family: Judy Styron, Tonya Jordan, Catherine 
Cooper, and Linda Pence.  
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 11, 2010 
at Sandhill Cemetery, Reelsboro, with the Rev. Lee Toler officiating.  
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the 
cemetery.
