Estelle Dixon Hodges, 80, of Alliance, died Thursday, July 2, 2009.
She was a member of the Alliance United Methodist Church. She was also a
member of the Bayboro Eastern Star #189, where she was a past Worthy Matron.
She is survived by her husband, George W. Hodges; one son, Bradford Hodges
of Merritt; two daughters, Harriett Rowe of Alliance and Patti Chance of
Alliance; one sister, Sarah Murphy of Cary; seven grandchildren; and 14
great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at the
Bryant Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Penny Dollar Farmer officiating.
The burial will follow in the Alliance United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, July 6, 2009,
at the Bryant Funeral Home and other times at the home located at 1570 Old
Bay River Road, Alliance.
Flowers are welcome, but memorial contributions may be made to Alliance
