ORIENTAL - Esther Spencer Cooper, 87, of 455 Styron Town Road in Oriental 
died Sunday, March 21 at Raleigh Community Hospital. 
A funeral service was held Saturday, March 27, 12 noon, at St. Stephen 
Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. S. Willis, Sr., pastor, officiating.  
She was a member of St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church.  
She is survived by two sons, Vernon Cooper of Oriental and Rev. Willie 
Cooper of NJ; one daughter, Cassandra Hackney of Clayton; one brother, 
Alex Cooper of New Bern; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
