HOBBSVILLE - Ethel Peele Carawon, 95, of the 100 block of Muddy Cross Road,
died Monday, Aug. 20, 2001.  
Mrs. Carawon was born in Pamlico County, N.C. The daughter of the late 
David and Martha Hodges Wilkinson, she was a homemaker and a member of 
Antioch Free Will Baptist Church.  
Preceded in death by her husbands, Abram L. Peele, Sr. and Cellars Carawon,
she is survived by a daughter, Linda P. Fulcher of Lulu, Ga.; two sons, 
Abram "Bud"; Peele of Hobbsville and Larry W. Peele 
of New Bern, N.C.; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.  
Friends may join the family today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Miller Funeral 
Home, Gatesville, and other times at the home of her son, 129 Muddy Cross 
Road, Hobbsville. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday 
at Sand Hill Cemetery, Reelsboro, Pamlico County, N.C. Following the 
service the family will receive friends at the Saints Delight Free Will 
Baptist Church social hall.
