ORIENTAL - Eugene Frederick Gallagher, 78, died Monday, Aug. 2, 2010, at 
home. 
He was a member of the American Legion, an avid fisherman and dog lover. 
He is survived by his wife, Mavis J. Gallagher; two sons, Daniel Gallagher 
of Mary Alice, Ky., and Timothy Gallagher of New Milford, Conn.; two 
daughters, Kathleen Murchison of Danbury, Conn., and Barbara Kolba of 
Woodbury, Conn.; two stepsons, James A. Jenkins and Garry N. Sandlin, both 
of New Bern; one stepdaughter, Roxy Bloomberg of New Bern; seven 
grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.  
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010, at 
Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Scott Fitzgerald officiating.  
Arrangements are by Bryant Funeral Home & Cremations, Alliance.
