ALLIANCE - Everett "Toad" Nelson Powers, 78, of Alliance died Wednesday, 
September 21 at Bayview Nursing Home in New Bern. 
A graveside service was held Saturday, September 24 in the Trent Free Will 
Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Dwayne Boyd officiating.  
He is survived by one brother, Tommy Powers of Newport; two sisters, Elva 
Shultis of Bridgeton and Vivian Heavlin of Missouri; 26 nieces and 
nephews; 21 great nieces and nephews; and 18 great-great nieces and nephews.
